At the start of 2011 a mate from the UK came to visit. He is quite a serious rower and wanted to keep in shape during his trip so we agreed to go out cycling. Since moving to Sydney 2 years ago I thought that I had been training quite well, but my mate beat me on every ride. This was one of the best things that could have happened – it really motivated me to get serious about my training.

Four months later I have lost 10kg and managing to spend 8-10 hours a week doing cycling, yoga, running & swimming. I am really excited to see how far I can take this.

I also write code on computers for a living.
